About ASLA

The ASLA group was established by the now retired brothers Albé and Siebrits Laker in October 1973. Their first project was for the installation of a residential sewer system in Somerset West and the company went on to build its success predominantly within the residential and commercial civil infrastructure sphere. Over the next five decades, our business remained agile and responsive to prevailing economic conditions and opportunities and fifty years later ASLA remains one of the Western Cape’s most prominent construction brands.

Our success to 50, and beyond, is possible through the pioneering and innovative nature of our engineers and industry professionals; our talented operators; a motivated and experienced workforce; the ability to empower local communities; constant innovation within our expertise; and a global commitment to delivery dignity through infrastructure.

Our group operates from offices in Strand near Cape Town and in George on the Garden Route. We conduct our business through ASLA Operations (Pty) Ltd, ASLA Construction (Pty) Ltd, ASLA DEVCO (Pty) Ltd, and ASLA Plant (Pty) Ltd.

COMPETENCIES

Our core competencies are:
