World-class residential, industrial,
and civil engineering infrastructure
Western Cape based ASLA is a BEE Level 1, CIDB Grade 9CE and 9GB construction group that undertakes civil and traditional building construction contracts. We offer clients turnkey, tailor-made project solutions in all types of fixed infrastructure.
We have also contributed to the Human Settlements Programme since 1995, by designing and constructing more than 60 000 affordable homes. Most of these houses have been constructed by implementing our patented Concrete Framed Building System – a system that has over the years become synonymous with the ASLA name, and one that has been certified by independent Technical Assessment Agency Agrément SA.
We believe that there is no age limit on being a proud South African civil and building contractor; on being an employer that enjoys long-service and continuity; or on being a company that is passionate about delivery.
There are many reasons why turning fifty is a significant milestone for us. The opportunity to reflect on a fifty-year journey that is marked by resilience and innovation, also adds fuel to our desire to continue being significant beyond this milestone number
dignity through infrastructure
About ASLA
The ASLA group was established by the now retired brothers Albé and Siebrits Laker in October 1973.
Their first project was for the installation of a residential sewer system in Somerset West and the company went on to build its success predominantly within the residential and commercial civil infrastructure sphere. Over the next five decades, our business remained agile and responsive to prevailing economic conditions and opportunities and fifty years later ASLA remains one of the Western Cape’s most prominent construction brands.
Construction Competencies
Our Construction competencies include, amongst others, planning, value engineering, designing and constructing bulk infrastructure spanning earthworks, water and wastewater (including plants, pipelines and reservoirs); roadworks; and communication infrastructure.
